Financial Assistance for House Repairs under the Minority Department
Introduction & Purpose
The Minority Department provides financial assistance under the Imbichi Bava Housing Renovation Scheme for widows, divorced women, and abandoned women belonging to minority religious communities such as Muslim and Christian.
Financial assistance is provided to improve the basic facilities of houses that lack proper windows, doors, flooring finishing, plumbing, sanitation, and electrification. This amount does not need to be repaid.

Eligibility Criteria & Priorities
- The maximum area of the house in the applicant's or spouse's name must not exceed 1,200 square feet.
- The applicant must be the sole breadwinner of the family, with priority given to BPL families.
- Priority is also given to applicants/children facing physical or mental challenges, families with only girl children, and childless applicants.
- Widows with children earning a steady income in government/semi-government institutions, and those who received housing assistance within the last 10 years, need not apply again.
Required Documents
- Specially prepared application form by the department.
- A copy of the land tax receipt for the financial year 2026-27 in the applicant's or spouse's name.
- A copy of the ration card.
- Certificate from the authorized LSGI officer proving repair necessity, house area, and confirming no assistance received in the last 10 years.

The filled-in application along with supporting documents can be submitted directly to the Minority Welfare Section at the respective District Collectorate, or sent by post to the following address:
